Uptown City Explorer – Discover the Best of Uptown Manhattan on Foot & by Public Transport
Join me for an exciting 10-hour walking tour, where we’ll explore the cultural and scenic highlights of Uptown Manhattan using public transportation and short walks. From breathtaking skyline views to world-class museums and famous landmarks, this tour is perfect for those who want to experience New York like a local. With a maximum group size of 12 people, you’ll enjoy a personal and immersive sightseeing experience. The tour is available in English and Hungarian.
We begin our journey with a ride on the Roosevelt Island Tram, one of the most scenic ways to travel in New York! As we glide over the East River, you’ll get spectacular aerial views of the Manhattan skyline. Once we arrive on Roosevelt Island, we’ll take a short walk to Four Freedoms Park, where you’ll have the perfect photo opportunity of the city’s east side.
Next, we hop on the subway to Central Park, New York’s most famous green space. We’ll explore some of the park’s most iconic spots, such as Bethesda Terrace, Bow Bridge, and Strawberry Fields, the John Lennon memorial. Whether you want to relax, take photos, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings, Central Park is always a must-visit in New York.
After enjoying the park, we continue to the world-renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET). If you’d like, you can explore its incredible collections, from ancient Egyptian artifacts to European masterpieces (museum entry is optional and tickets are required).
Our final destination is Lincoln Center, the heart of performing arts in New York. Here, you’ll see the iconic venues where the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, and the New York City Ballet perform. The beautiful architecture and elegant fountains make this a perfect spot to end our tour.
At the end of the tour, I’ll guide you back to your accommodation or help you navigate the subway so you can continue exploring on your own.
